Cary Hiner – Athletic Performance Director
NASM, CPT, PES, Certified Biolever Professional
Cary brings over seventeen years of committed merit to the field of athletic performance training. It has been his quest to develop a system that delivers safe as well as fast results. He realized many years ago that traditional weight lifting was limited in regards to increasing athleticism and often caused damage to the body. It was with this new knowledge that he began his journey down the road of performance training.
It all started when Cary began working in the fitness industry in 1991 at the Airport Club in Santa Rosa. Even though the Airport Club was a new state of the art facility that offered all of the newest equipment; Cary strove to improve upon the industry standard. Cary began to look for innovative ways to refine his training in order to maximize safety, and results. This quality environment set a strong foundation of experience. Sports performance training and developing athletes soon became Cary’s primary focus.
Cary has had the opportunity to work with some of the top professionals in the strength and conditioning industry. Early in Cary’s training career he began working with a Sports Chiropractor named Dr. Christopher Bailey DC, CCEP, CSCS in Santa Rosa. From that experience he learned how to assess each athlete with the Biolever System, a specialized measuring method specifically made for each individual athlete. This gives him the information he needs to keep the athlete safe within their muscular ranges and built up at an accelerated rate. The focus that Dr. Bailey brought to the health and wellness field quickly influenced the way Cary designed and implemented training programs. Injury prevention and proper individual assessments became the primary goal of all of Cary’s program designs.
Every year Cary attends the Certified Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association to discuss the newest technologies and techniques with the Hall of Fame “the Guru” Dr. Chuck Stiggins, in order to constantly keep himself at the forefront of the performance field.
Cary’s new technologies include the up to date Woodway that has been updated and used by the 2007 PA USATF Masters Outdoor Track and Field Champion Adarian Barr. This method includes a marriage of technique and hard work to produce results that Cary and Adarian have both proved to be amazing and beyond that of previous years and training theories.
