I took Cary’s program to enhance the physical skills performance of recruits in the police academy. As a recruit, you must score a minimum number of points in 5 different events that require powerful sprinting skills and explosive, dynamic strength. Failure to reach the minimal point total will cause you to fail from the academy. Since I only have 12 weeks with the recruits, and many come into the program in less than ideal physical condition, I wanted to have additional tools to help them achieve the requirements. Cary gave me a simple program designed for my specific needs as a trainer in this unique setting that has had powerful results. Immediately I saw a significant improvement in scoring results and over the last two years we have not looked back.

A golf instructor recommended I train with Cary. I started golfing about a year and a half earlier and struggled with consistency due to lack of balance, flexibility, and timing. Cary impressed me for three reasons: 1) he listened to me 2) he made me work on my stated goals and 3) I got results.

I will go into further detail. On the first point, he found out why I came to his gym. I was there to become a better golfer. Since he had just finished his certification @TPI, he knew just where to start. He put me though a battery of tests and drills. Through that work, he identified my golf related weaknesses. That leads to my second point. Once Cary knew what I struggled with he developed an exercise routine to work on my many weak spots. It was challenging and frustrating at times but he did a good job of tying everything back into my golf swing. I came to him to get a more fluid and consistent golf swing. My final point is that I saw results. No, I’m not a great golfer. But…I am much more consistent. My balance and timing are a lot better, as is my flexibility. Cary videotaped my golf swing, before and after our work together. The difference in my swing is night and day and motivates me to continue the work. I know I will continue to improve with his help.
